It was all about the Marley's, fashion and of course, music at the second annual Kaya Fest event, held in sunny California, April 28-29. And while outside was hot, inside was even hotter with the brand-new Nine Mile SS18 collection taking the temperature up a notch!

Sexy, fun and fresh, Nine Mile was in its element in laidback LA— a city whose “casual meets cool” style is the perfect match for the Nine Mile clothing brand! Located at Kaya HQ, which is basically one big Marley family pop-up shop, fans and fashion lovers were able to experience many of the Marley Family brands all under one awesome roof!
Tons of fans fell in love with the SS18 Nine Mile collection, especially many of the new pieces that were on display including Nine Mile branded t-shirts, cropped tops, cropped hoodies, and swimsuits. The freshness of the brand was clearly a huge pull factor, as many people gravitated towards the understated sexiness yet casual comfort of Nine Mile clothing, making it perfect for trendsetters on-the- go. There was steady, excited flow of traffic to the Nine Mile booth that was perfectly placed between the Juju Royal brand by Julian Marley and Royal Rita by Serita.

Machel loves Nine Mile!
The Nine Mile slides have been one of the most hotly anticipated pieces from the SS18 collection, with everyone waiting patiently to cop a pair for themselves. One of these fans, happens to be none other than Soca superstar, Machel Montano! Machel was a huge fan of the clothing brand, and particularly the Nine Mile Reggae slides! The Soca King himself will be one of the first to rock the Nine Mile Reggae slides which go on sale May 14!
The Marley's Meet-and-Greet!
Nine Mile fans got an extra special surprise when some of the Marley boys popped up at the Nine Mile pop-up shop! Rohan, Ky-mani and Julian stopped by to say hello and show some major love for the Nine Mile brand!
Samples selling out!
If the response at Kaya Fest was any indication, if you want to cop a piece from the SS18 Nine Mile collection, you better move quickly! Nine Mile fashionistas and fashionisters were even willing to purchase the collection samples, in order to take a piece of Nine Mile home with them that day! Despite designer Princess Booker’s desire to keep enough samples to display for the entire duration of Kaya Fest, fans eventually wore her down and by the end of two-day showcase, almost all the samples were sold!
